China will implement measures to strengthen the health services system involving Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and enhance the grassroots capacity of providing TCM health services, according to an industry watchdog on February 25.
The country will build a batch of TCM rehabilitation centers and promote the construction of a national TCM center in the Xiong'an New Area this year, said a meeting of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine attended by the heads of TCM authorities at various levels.
Standards and technical manuals will be provided to enhance the building of community TCM clinics and improve their capacities, said the meeting, adding that TCM training will be promoted for medical personnel working at the primary level.
China also pledged efforts to formulate operating standards and diagnostic and treatment plans to improve the medical service capacity of ethnic minorities.
